Fourteen years ago, they started talking in Art class due to a mispronunciation of names which lead to a longlasting long distance friendship. Thirteen years ago Kim introduced Jessie to the Smashing Pumpkins. Quite some time later she introduced her to Dave. So far Jessie regrets neither one...
Chrissy is Jessie’s closest friend on the American side of the ocean. The duo also known as Gretchen and Heidi was introduced to each other by Jessie’s “mom” and Chrissy’s good friend Penny who made two perfectly strangers prepare a whole fundraiser breakfast together. They’ve been sticking together and sharing girly activities like wine lunches, buying shoes and picking on their guys ever since.
Sharing affections for guys in foreign countries and all you can eat buffets, Elo and Jessie have enjoyed working together as well as sharing their sarcastic advices and views with the world for years. No one is safe when the two of them get together and have “their moments”.
As different as they can be, Franzi and Jessie share a common humor when it comes to ducks imitating hats and phones, as well as having an ongoing ritual of trading dogs for gyro. This well conducted plan of course arose at an “office” Christmas party with absolutely no alcohol involved... It also led to them becoming really good friends after all.
Jessie and her little American sisters drive each other crazy when they spend more than 3 days together, but love and miss each other terribly when they’re apart. While Sabrina is just happy about the wedding, Katie still insists that Dave only proposed because she told him to...
Groomsmen
In the 8 years Dave has known Manny, he became the brother he never had - his brother from another mother, if you will. These two have a shared love of movies, challenging video games (though Dave cheats and plays on the easy setting), and the love of beer. They have even started making their own beer, and call their “brewery” the Karma’s a Bitch Brewery, after Manny and Sarah’s dog.
Dave has known Todd since the mid 90s, back when Todd was tending his hand as a “Pyrotechnic Technician” and general mischief. Todd and Dave have shared a fascination in the consumption of beer, and the love of the north woods for almost 15 years.
Dan and Dave have gotten into lots of trouble over the years. From going to Open Pantry in their underwear to attending “Dark Lord Day” (a beer festival in Indiana), the day is never dull when these two are together. Former college roommates, and still friends, more misadventures are sure to be on their way in the future.
Mark and Dave go way back to 6th grade, back before cell phones! Their love for all things geeky made them brothers in arms. Endless days of watching Beavis and Butthead, Star Trek, and getting lost whenever Mark was navigator have sealed this friendship.
Since Dave and Jessie couldn’t decide which one of Dave’s nephews would be the better and cuter ring bearer, they simply stole Chrissy’s idea of having a bubble boy accompanying the flower girls. So now the boys can fight over ring cushions and soap pistols.
